The systems in the house are not inspected, though rooms are checked out to see how large they are and what features may affect the value of the home. The inspection is a different appointment that is about the safety of the home and property instead of the value.

What about Me?

When the appraiser is at the home, there isn’t much for you to do, unless there needs to be certain improvement pointed out. Many of the physical changes to the home will be spotted by the appraiser, but if you are concerned, let the appraiser know specific things about the home — especially if you are the seller.
